


Simon Hales

Simon brings over 17 years of hands-on experience in the architectural field, specialising in residential and commercial projects. He holds a BSc. in Architectural Technology from TUD Bolton Street and has made meaningful contributions at MCORM Architects, DDA Architects, and AKM Design, advancing to the role of Associate Director in the latter two firms.
Simon's strength lies in project management, guiding developments from post-planning to completion. His portfolio spans a wide range of projects, including medium to large-scale residential projects and commercial ventures. He's collaborated with industry leaders, leaving his mark on the built environment.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Simon is dedicated to continuous learning. He holds an MSc in Architecture in Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the University of East London, a Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College, and a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from TUD, and is a proud member of CIAT.
Matthew Fagan
B Arch Sc, B Arch, MRIAI
Matthew is an RIAI registered architect with 16 years' experience in the design and procurement of various residential, commercial and hospitality projects in Ireland as senior design architect, project manager and assigned certifier. Matthew’s experience ranges from leading on all scales of residential and commercial architecture from inception to completion in the Dublin and Leinster regions.
Examples of projects include the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, apart-hotel Francis Street, apartment blocks in Dublin City and housing developments across the Dublin, Meath and Louth areas among others.
Matthew specialises in design and 3D modelling and has extensive experience in navigating planning procedures, regulations and legislation.
Matthew was an Associate Director with Dublin-based StudioDSQ and was an Associate Director with Duignan Dooley Architects (DDA) before that.
He obtained his architectural degrees at University College Dublin (UCD).

Szilvia Nagy
BSc Arch, Tech.
Szilvia has over 5 years of professional experience as an architectural technologist since graduating from the Institute of Technology Carlow, now known as South East Technological University (SETU), in 2018.
Before joining FHA, Szilvia was part of a team responsible for developments’ coordination from post-planning through to completion. These involved mid-to-large scale residential projects, apartment complexes, and housing estates across Ireland. In this role, she supported the Lead BIM Manager by handling modelling tasks and developing complex Revit families and schedules, contributing to the overall BIM process.
Since joining FHA, she has been deeply involved in producing planning and construction information packages across a range of sectors including commercial & residential of varying scales. In addition, Szilvia’s expertise also extends to implementing drawing standards and integrating BIM, making her a key contributor to the firm’s BIM strategy.

Andrea Benedicto
MArch, MRIAI
RIAI member Andrea is a dedicated architect with a strong academic background and experience in architectural design, urban planning, and sustainable building solutions. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the European University and has been involved in projects aimed at enhancing spatial quality and user well-being through thoughtful design and material selection.
Before joining FHA Architecture & Design, she worked with multidisciplinary teams in Spain, contributing to architectural design, project visualization, and technical documentation. Her work includes the development of architectural drawings, 3D models, and research on material quality in interior spaces and its impact on habitability.
Her expertise in digital modeling, architectural analysis, and project coordination enables her to tackle design challenges with a comprehensive and detail-oriented approach.

Katie Keenan
B Arch
Katie is a recent graduate of TU Dublin, having completed five years of a Bachelors of Architecture degree. She has gained practical experience working with Patrick Dunne Architects in 2024 and 2025, where she contributed to both residential and hospitality projects at design, planning, and tender stages.
Known for her creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail, Katie brings a thoughtful and reliable approach to her work
Katie is particularly interested in sustainability and detail-oriented design, with strong skills in both design development and technical drawing.

Aaron Carolan
BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology
Aaron recently graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology from Atlantic Technological University Galway, where he focused on construction detailing, building regulations, and sustainable design. During his studies, he developed strong technical drawing and documentation skills using Revit and AutoCAD and has gained practical experience with ArchiCAD in a professional setting.
He has contributed to residential and commercial projects, assisting with planning applications, technical documentation, and compliance reports. His academic work also included conservation based projects, giving him an appreciation for heritage and refurbishment within architectural practice.
Aaron has a strong interest in construction drawings and technical detailing and brings a detail oriented and reliable approach to project work. He has also completed NZEB Fundamental Training, supporting his knowledge of sustainable building practices.
